Our History

CAODMU is a private non-profit agency with IRS-approved 501(c)3 tax-exempt status that is dedicated to planning, implementing, and coordinating programs and responses designed to impact social and economic problems for the low-income population in our communities. Established in 1965 as a result of the Economic Opportunity Act and President Johnson’s “War on Poverty,” CAODMU is a collaborative partner in Delaware, Madison, Union, Champaign, Logan, and Shelby counties with local governments, churches, social service agencies, businesses and industries, community groups, and more. Our funding is solely derived from federal, state, local, and private grants.

Based in Marysville, Ohio, we operate offices in each of our six counties, and our staff is ready to assist our communities.
